Mission:
Founded in 2006, the Greater Philadelphia Student Film Festival unites the Philadelphia student film community in a forum to celebrate the films they have written, produced, or directed.  The festival fills a unique niche: while local student film festivals abound, none recognize the city of Philadelphia as the common denominator between them.  GPSFF seeks to forge lasting connections between the city and its brightest up-and-coming talent as an investment in the future of Philadelphia filmmaking.

Eligibility:
The festival is open to anyone currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year post-secondary school in the Greater Philadelphia region at the time of submission. Senior Theses and related submissions will also be accepted within one year of graduation.

GPSFF 06:
On April 13, 2006, the first annual Greater Philadelphia Student Film Festival showcased the premier films of Philadelphia’s college student population.

We received a total of 65 entries from 5 different schools: 24 from Drexel, 21 from Penn, 10 from Temple, 8 from UArts, and 2 from Montgomery County Community College.
